Zoom PokerZoom Poker Arriving at PokerStarsPokerStars.com the world’s largest online poker room is adding another special variant to their already vast selection of games. Those familiar with the now defunct Full Tilt Poker’s “Rush Poker” will be right at home when they play zoom poker. A lot of the features are similar and the idea is the same, to introduce a faster paced game of poker to poker players. One has to think, PokerStars has long waited to unleash their version on “speed poker” on the world’s largest player base. No more waiting!Basically, Zoom Poker puts you in the middle of the action, all the time. Poker players have gotten even shorter attention spans these days and PokerStars has developed the perfect hand per second fix. The normal rules of Texas Hold'Em apply – except as you fold your hand, you are immediately moved to a new table, with new opponents.
Too impatient to wait your turn to fold? Zoom Poker has got you covered, just click the “fast fold” button. Your cards will immediately be folded and you will be transported to a new table, with all different players. Your opponents won’t know you’ve folded till the action gets to you and you could be several hands/tables away. Zoom Poker will have hundreds of players in each game when it goes live. So, there will never be a time you won’t be able to jump from table to table within seconds. This is also huge for PokerStars’ already lucrative VIP system. One can easily play hundreds of hands an hour, with just one table of Zoom Poker. Climbing up the VIP levels should be much easier than ever before. Currently in TestingZoom Poker is currently being tested in a beta phase, reports are it is very smooth and has few hiccups. Would you expect anything less from PokerStars? Zoom tables look the same as a normal Stars cash games, they are customizable with themes just as regular cash game would be. Zoom Poker currently just supports No Limit Hold Em’ and Pot Limit Omaha cash games. There are tabs for fixed limit, Omaha hi-low and other types of games. PokerStars seems likely to add more games to the Zoom Poker platform, once Zoom Poker is running flawlessly across the servers. Zoom Poker’s Real Money DebutPokerStars is mum on exactly when they’ll unveil the new platform and make it available for players in real money games. It is still being tested in the play money phase, but rumors have that changing in the coming weeks or days. PokerStars is now finalizing the details before they roll out Zoom Poker for real money. Zoom Poker has poker players wondering everywhere. Is this the next big thing for poker? How much can this increase my hourly rate? How many hands can I get per hour? Opportunities will surely arise for savvy players to make good money from it. With PokerStars running the show, there is no doubt it will be a great addition to online poker. If you sign up at pokerstars, you can not just play zoom poker, but also observe and play with top pros like Vanessa Rousso (pic on the right). Her username is 'LadyMaverick'. Challenge her, if you dare.
