The 60 billionth hand fell recently on the Tuesday, March 29th at 09:30 ET, after five days of promotional payouts. ‘Pogo650’ from the UK, who was sitting at $5/$10 Limit Hold’em table Isa II, was the recipient of $102k after his Q-3 won the 60 billionth hand with a pair of threes.

The board panned out 2-K-3-6-9, but the second best hand was a mere ace high. The other players at the table also scooped handsome payouts, ranging from $11,040 to $21,045.

Amazingly, one oblivious player ‘DrPepel’ folded his hand, and missed the chance of a bumper bonus payout. After his monster win ‘Pogo650’ declared ‘I'm possibly the biggest luckbox alive over the last week or so. Two losing sessions ended in milestone hands’.

He had earlier won $3,335 on one of the build up milestone hands. ‘Pogo650’ can consider himself very fortunate given that 65,000 players had taken to the ring games on PokerStars in hope of hitting a milestone hand.

How to benefit

There are several ways to enhance your chances of winning in the billionth hand promotions.

The obvious way is to play more tables, as this will increase your chances of being included in a milestone hand.

It’s also advantageous to play longer sessions, as the size of the prizes depends on the number of VIP Points (VPPs) you have accumulated whilst sitting at the table. You earn VPPs by playing in raked hands, so it’s better to be more aggressive.
