PlayersOnly is a new room started in 2006 that runs on the Cake Network. The advantage of their recent appearance on the poker scene is that their offer great incentives such as a 100% sign-on bonus up to $650, plus many freerolls and frequent player advantages. They allow US players to deposit through their credit card, which is a rarity in the current environment of tighter regulations applied to deposits from American players.

Software

PlayersOnly's software offers all the functionalities expected from a modern online poker room and a nice design. The lobby is easy to navigate, tables are resizable and allow multi-tabling up to ten tables. Note taking at the table is enhanced by the possibility to use color coding, red for hot player, purple for tight, green for easy money, etc. Other great features are stats, hand history and controls over chat and display. Useful alerts popup when interesting tournaments are about to start. The software is fast and overall provides a great playing experience.

Traffic

For a smaller room, the traffic is excellent at PlayersOnly, and there are now plenty of active tables. In Texas Hold'em, there are many active tables at the full ring & 6-max tables, both in no-limit and fixed limit. Action starts from the micro-limits $0.02/$0.04 up to $1/$2 for no-limit. Fixed limit action is decent from $0.04/$0.08 to $1/$2. There are many full ring and 6-max tables, but just a few heads up tables. There are also a few omaha tables at the low limits.

Tournaments

PlayersOnly offers many guaranteed tournaments. The monthly 250k Guaranteed ($320 buy-in), the weekly 100k ($162 buy-in) Guaranteed, the Sunday $50k Guaranteed ($109 buy-in) and various daily buy-ins, which add up to $5 million of guarantees every month. On a daily basis there are many exciting tournaments running, with or without guarantee, with buy-in from $0.15 to $55. For example, it costs only $5.5 to join the 6k Guaranteed which gathers about 500 contestants for a top prize around $1700.

Competition

On average the competition is quite weak at PlayersOnly. On one hand, the room is still quite new and most of the poker players there have only recently opened an account. On the other hand, the PlayersOnly suite of products also includes casino, race book & sports book features that attract many gamblers who often end up playing at your table. You will always find an easy game at PlayersOnly.
